Max and Patrick decided to celebrate their birthdays on the water with us. These two young guys are eager to learn the river and we packed a lot of info into a 4 hour trip. Patrick left with a new personal best blue catfish of 26lb and they took home a bunch of eaters for a fish fry.

It was a cold start to the morning at 18 degrees but we ended up landing some amazing fish today. Congrats to Zac on the new personal bests. He doubled up on a 45 and 41 lb blue catfish to end the trip. Welcome to the trophy club!

Katherine and Bruce told us they wanted to get Henry on some fish for his birthday. We spent the morning on the river and crossed paths with a 34lb trophy blue catfish, a 16 lb blue catfish and a bunch of eaters. Congrats on the new personal bests! What a gorgeous day to calendar on the water!

We had Allen and Ron out for a return trip on Tuesday. The river was working against us with heavy fog, difficulties catching bait, and finicky fish. We were steadily catching meat for the freezer, but everybody wanted to see a monster. With only a few minutes left in the trip a rod started screaming across the top of the water and this 68 pound blue cat was on the other end! What a way to end the trip.
